Oh my gosh! This article is fantastic! I'm going to forward this to every dog owner I know!
You are spot on, too. I am not a professional, but a companion dog owner who has a true companionship relationship with my dogs. We trust one another, we play together, we enjoy each and every single moment we spend together. No dominance. No aggressive training or reactions. No fear. No anxiety. A partnership. We ENJOY our time by not struggling for 'pack leader' status.
David Mech's work is remarkable. I must get my hands on that film!
I love your blog, and this post in particular! Bravo!
I know you've talked about these points before Lee, but they're always great to hear again.
And I can attest to the fact that play is a MUCH more powerful way to work with your dog than dominance or being the "pack leader". My own dogs are a testament to that.

As usual, LCK, you nailed it. Great post.
It's nice to see you quote Max von Stephanitz too, he was a brilliant trainer.
