The best one we have is greeting the cat together, Stan, a new addition since the end of January. They get on very well already, and it is helped a lot by the fact that I enthusiastically join in their greeting when Butters and I get home. Its all, HELLOOO Stan, we're SO happy to see you, we missed you so much, etc.. It's funny you used the bone and stretching examples, because I've been doing those exact exercises for awhile now-- it really works! I think this is a critical part to not only training, but an important basis to the relationship with your dog(s).

Now, when we play, I try to let the emotion flow naturally, and I get this surge of joy that we both feed off of. He loves it, and it is remarkable and beautiful the connection one can develop by doing simple exercises like that.

I now notice everyday that we're constantly exchanging emotions. And you're right-- it directly influences obedience and how much he listens. I no longer have to "try" to understand my dog-- I just do, and he understands me immediately.

Really, really cool and fascinating stuff.
