...is, Dogs - Sinatra Songs - Life in New York. Starting today, there's a new folder, in the column on the right, dedicated to some songs I've written with Sinatra (or Tony Bennett, or Diana Krall, et al) in mind.
Love is like that old brass ring,
and you’ve got to grab it.
Worry never solves a thing.
It’s time to kick that habit.
Hey, baby, let’s kick it today!
We’ll buy a railroad ticket today,
ride to the country where everything’s green.
We can relax, turn our backs
on the fax and the answering machine.
We won’t think about tomorrow,
that habit is so passé.
that habit is so passé.
So my baby, let’s kick it today.
Old Man Trouble, he can’t find us
if we leave the daily grind behind us.
There may be some devil to pay,
but let’s siesta, down Mexico way.
South of the border, we’ll bake in the sun;
dance to a band in the sand
honey, and just as soon as we’re done,
we won’t think about mañana,
oh no, we’ll just shout, “Olé!”
oh no, we’ll just shout, “Olé!”
Oh my baby, let’s kick it today.
so perhaps you’d care to hear my theory?
What say we just stay home and play?
Put on Dean Martin and roll in the hay?
I’ll map the landscape of wonderful you
while Dino croons some old tunes
and the moon’s just a ball in the blue.
and the moon’s
Why fret for what ain’t happened yet?
Fear will only get in the way, if you let it.
So baby don’t sweat it. Try to forget it.
Let’s kick it today.

I listened to the whole thing and enjoyed it. It definitely takes you back to another time when life was not so harsh. There were real Stars in Hollywood and romance was alive. Those were the days :)
